The Number 10

Book 0: The Fundamentals | Chapter 0.6 | 26 June 2020

Every worthwhile spiritual system leans into numerological symbolism, and Janthopoyism is no different. We recognise the number 10 as the holiest of figures, which subsequently relates to the number 2.

In connection with our beliefs, is it too obvious to point out that J is the 10th letter of the alphabet?

As Janthopoysim deals with the duality (2) of the inner and outer universes, we see how 10 represents this concept as the first double-digit number in the mathematical sequence.

We can push this further when looking at the computer processor language of binary, where 1 and 0 represent the opposites (2) of yes/no or on/off.

One could argue that 10 represents the root of all life with the phallic 1 and the yonic 0, the male and female coming together (2) to initiate the ultimate creation and reproduction of life.

Finally, 10 + 2 = 12, the number of letters in the name Janthopoyism.

Beyond this, 10 plays an imperative role in all areas of life.
Most of us have 10 fingers.
There are 10 years in one decade and 10 decades in one century and 10 centuries in one millennium (ten tens of 10).
The Roman numeral for 10 is X, commonly used in algebra to denote an unknown integer.
Mysterious! It also indicates multiplication (the birth of life between 2) and "marks the spot".
10 is the base of the decimal numeral system.
10 is the sum of the first three prime numbers (2 + 3 + 5).
And 10 is the sum of the first four numbers (1 + 2 + 3 + 4).

Interestingly enough, Pythagoreans, who believed we could understand the cosmos mathematically, considered 10 the perfect number because it contained "the whole essential nature of numbers". As a result, Pythagoreans praised the Tetractys triangular figure as a magic symbol, fundamental to their culty worship.

Speaking of religion, the number 10 runs through many other spiritual veins. Some examples include the Ten Commandments, the ten plagues on Egypt, the Ten Martyrs in Jewish liturgy, ten generations between Noah and Abraham, the ten incarnations of Lord Maha Vishnu in Hinduism, Ten Sephirot in the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, and the ten gurus in Sikhism. There are many more.

It may also be worth noting that we officially launched Janthopoysim in 2020, which is 2 multiplied (X) by 10, twice (2).

Stepping off on a final side note, every doctrine worth its sugar honours an annual day as a holy anniversary, and Janthopoyism claims one too. Agreeing with the otherwise lacklustre teachings of Anton LaVey, we believe one should embrace individuality and celebrate their birthday most highly. Rejoice in yourself!

Janthopoyism is a spiritual philosophy meets self-improvement program.
We view the Absolute collection of all Universal Energy to be the highest power. You are part of that power. You are an extension of divinity.
The ultimate purpose of this power is to evolve, and we each have a unique part to play in this progression. The details of your role are relayed to you every moment of your life via emotional notifications.

The tricky bit is that human beings have developed a communication barrier between themselves and this instruction.
This barrier is called "the brain".
But never fear! By utilising some very simple practices, you can open the flow of exchange, granting you access to the ether of infinite ideas, the infallible path of your guided destiny, and the recollection of your holiness.

Which is basically a wanky way of saying that your life is about to get a whole bunch better.

Join the movement before it becomes too mainstream.
