Janthopoyism vs the Law of Attraction

Book 4: The Bridge of Offerings | Chapter 4.7 | 30 March 2021

After reading the previous chapter, one may forgivably assume that Janthopoyism is yet another New Thought yawn preaching the law of attraction gospel. You wouldn't be wrong, but you wouldn't be quite right either.

The law of attraction suggests that thoughts/emotions/vibrations will manifest into real-life experiences that match those same thoughts/emotions/vibrations, whether negative or positive. The energy you hold attracts identical energy, knocking at your door. It's a philosophy that has received a perpetual increase of attention each year that passes, garnering many new followers and critics alike. But irrespective of how heavenly or far-fetched this process appears to you, Janthopoyism recognises that it's perhaps not as magical as it initially comes across.

We've already covered these grounds in such detail that this chapter teeters on redundancy. The bombardment of external stimuli entering our space is so immense that it would beat our brain to a pulp if everything got in. That's why we have trained the Gatekeeper of our minds (or, more specifically, our reticular activating systems) to tune into frequencies deemed essential whilst blocking out the rest. An exhausted mother may sleep as a car crashes outside her window, but the slightest grunt from her newborn will cause her to stir. Your partner may not acknowledge your fresh haircut, but a hairdresser who's met you once before will. There needn't be anything esoteric about this. It's basic mental behaviour. You know this to be true because you can instantly identify it in your everyday experiences.

Deepak Chopra said, "Good luck is opportunity meeting preparedness." If you have not disciplined your brain to watch for fortune, then the stuff you want might zoom past, and you won't even register its blur. However, if you spend ample time envisioning the results of what you want from a positive, present perspective, then you will have equipped your mind to latch onto the path as soon as your feet are aligned.

You don't have to throw a stone very far to find an athlete or an entrepreneur or an entertainment superstar who swears that their successes stemmed in part from visualisation techniques. Within their mind's eye, they witnessed their accomplishment, and in doing so, convinced their brain that it was not only achievable, but they had already achieved it. Their subconscious searched reality for validation, and there it was. What's more, if they'd searched that same reality for signs of failure, they would have found that too. Every possibility is directly in front of you, but you'll tend to notice the ones you've taught yourself to notice. Perspective is quite literally everything. If you can train your perspective to bend to your command, you can control the world. More on that to come.

One of the Universe's most baffling puzzles is where the line lies between the mystical and the explainable humdrum. Of course, there is a deeper quantum mechanics level to this hypothesis, which Janthopoyism wholeheartedly subscribes to in terms of plausibility. Physical matter changes its state from waves to particles whether we look at them or not. As previously discussed, it's called the observer effect, and it is a proven phenomenon. The consequences of this reality are vast and could mean that the material world is changing per the viewer. Even if we appear to share rudimentary corresponding wireframes, each separated mind fills in the blanks, packing a personal brand of meat on top. The outcome implies that existence reflects our thoughts on a demonstrable plain. Therefore, physical manifestations dictated by our mental vibrations should not be so easily disregarded as pseudoscience.

Feel no obligation to commit to this theory or any theory ever. But please do recognise the following two points.

(1) There is a definite scientific possibility that we live in an environment where our perceptions shape the environment around us.
(2) There is a significant advantage to convincing your brain that it may hold such an influence.

Once you achieve that, you will gradually prioritise thoughts that let out and receive energies of your preference. You should pause daily to enjoy moments where you already have it all, and then you will. Build a reality within a reality that takes place where everything takes place—inside of your head.

The problem with the law of attraction is that it's simple but not easy. It teaches us that we can have anything we want merely by thinking the right way. We won't have to leave our room if we get good enough! And perhaps some masters are that good. But are you? No, it seems that even the strongest LOA believers struggle to manifest the things they deeply desire. Sure, they'll receive a message from a long lost friend they were just daydreaming about, or they'll manage to clear a parking space exactly where they wanted it, but the most meaningful treasures don't arrive as effortlessly. This exertion can be very frustrating and often results in people turning their backs on the practice.

These blockages occur because you've placed too much weight on the outcome. Manifesting a penny or a million pounds means nothing to the infinite Universal Energy. All the money on the planet combined has zero celestial value whatsoever. But the consequences are so monumental to our little minds that we cut it off immediately. We crave certain relationships or material items or social statuses with so much passion that we wedge a further distance between ourselves and them. We imagine so many scenarios that might bring us our stuff that our subconscious has no idea in which direction to look. We cry out for items, sitting in a deep hole left by their absence and then wonder why our reality only shows us more of this damn hole. And even worse, we know we are doing this. Yet, it is impossible to stop the brain from spinning wildly like the silly thing always does.

That is where Janthopoyism differentiates itself from the law of attraction. We do so with two simplified alterations.
Firstly, we aim to manifest ideas, not physical matter.
And secondly, we put the action into law of attraction, functioning on an action-orientated system of progress.

Instead of squeezing out results with forced visualisations, let go of all resistance by intending to attract an idea. You've had ideas before. You will have ideas again. It's easy to get one of those. Manifesting an idea is as uncomplicated as allowing it to come.

Forget about how you're going to achieve your dreams. Forget about everything, if you can. Focus on the end goal. Put that energy out in as many creative ways as possible. And then move on with your life. Occasionally revisit the thought to see if anything new has arrived, and soon enough, something will have. The next step will be evident because the attached emotion is healthy excitement. We covered this extensively in Book 3's Accessing the Universal Mind, so go back there for a refresher.

The subsequent procedure is to meet the Universe halfway. You can't win the lotto if you don't play. If the Universe wants to give you a gift, you better build the mailbox for delivery. Go outside. Chat with people. Read books. Research those who have conquered this adventure previously. Create avenues for the external energy to flow, and the idea will come. And when the idea (any idea) comes, pursue it. Pursue every idea that blesses you as a rule. Because ideas breed ideas until the momentum runs away from you, and you'll say, "My God, I've created a monster".

I know you want things, and you want them now, but life would be a dull pit of grey excess if it worked like that. The genuine thrill is in the chase. And if you're not having a blast running towards your dreams, then stop immediately and recalibrate. You're running the wrong way.

Because it's not about working harder than everyone else and getting what you want in the end. There will never be an end! Another desire will replace each achievement until you die.

Instead, it's about loving what you do more than everyone else and having the time of your life doing so. That's when you've uncovered your meaning! If you're in that place, then the hard work will happen without you noticing. What others grapple with, you will smash through, void of hesitation.

And if for whatever reason, you don't succeed, you would never consider the quest a waste of energy.
The ride was too enjoyable.
The mission gave your life substance.
The final result was secondary.
Because you could never fathom living in any other way.

Janthopoyism is a spiritual philosophy meets self-improvement program.
We view the Absolute collection of all Universal Energy to be the highest power. You are part of that power. You are an extension of divinity.
The ultimate purpose of this power is to evolve, and we each have a unique part to play in this progression. The details of your role are relayed to you every moment of your life via emotional notifications.

The tricky bit is that human beings have developed a communication barrier between themselves and this instruction.
This barrier is called "the brain".
But never fear! By utilising some very simple practices, you can open the flow of exchange, granting you access to the ether of infinite ideas, the infallible path of your guided destiny, and the recollection of your holiness.

Which is basically a wanky way of saying that your life is about to get a whole bunch better.

Join the movement before it becomes too mainstream.
