How to Run the Skew System
Book 5: The External Worship | Chapter 5.2 | 29 April 2021
Before we embark on this EPIC adventure, please note that you must not attempt anything on this page until you've read Book 5 in its entirety. It won't work otherwise! It'll be a waste of your time! This section reveals the process, but the Skews themselves have sneaky quirks that you won't initially realise beyond the obvious definitions of their names. Furthermore, a nifty concluding tips and tricks segment will train a Skew ninja out of you. I've been running this program for many years, and you've gotta trust me on this. Read the book to the end, then return to this chapter, only performing your first session then.
Ok, ready? We start by selecting a day of the week. If you want my gentle suggestion, pick Monday. "Evaluate on Mondays, manifest on Fridays" is one of my mottos. Mondays are good because if there are glaring holes in your life, they'll be the most evident on this generally considered "worst day of the week". It's easy to think everything is grand on Fridays! Additionally, the Monday Skew session encourages you to whip your week into shape before that date, which can often make Mondays a more pleasant experience as a result. Win-win!
Once you've decided on a regular weekly timeslot, you'll need a platform to write stuff down. There are no rules except to do what feels right, be it paper, digital, or rock carvings; it's all gravy.
Then off we go by laying out the five skews one after another:
Health
Relationships
Home
Work
Spirit
The order is irrelevant-ish, but your preferred method of organisation will become apparent after a while.
Following this, you are going to evaluate your life by rating each of the Skews out of 10.
You are encouraged to use halves if they fit, e.g., 6.5, 7.5, etc.
Do not overthink this.
Do not worry if you're doing it right because there is no right.
Feel out whichever number resonates more accurately than the others.
If you rate something, then change your mind later, go back and alter it. It does not matter.
It may take several sessions before you find your footing, but you will develop your own rating style after time.
For now, do whatever. It's only numbers.
Some personality types exaggerate their achievements, while others slide into a conditioned position of self-pity. There are methods to counter both of these.
Firstly, hitting a 10 should be impossible. A 10 score means the Skew is at its maximum. It can never get better. There is no room for improvement. No one in the world has ever reached the success you are currently reaping in that field. I don't buy it, and personally, I will never give myself a 10 on anything because it'd do more harm than good. Even a 9 should be reserved for the "this is the best my life has ever been" area. Rate modestly if you're a high scorer.
If you tend to score low, there's no shame in pushing it up. I'd go so far as to say that if none of your Skews exceeds a 6, then add .5 to all of them. If none of your Skews exceeds a 5, then add a whole point to all of them. It is not cheating because it's about perspective. Many people are terrible at self-diagnosis. Moreover, this can quickly turn into a self-fulfilling prognosis and simply by associating yourself with slightly higher numbers, your energy may respond positively.
Once you've rated every Skew out of 10, combine those numbers to calculate a score out of 50. Double it, and that will give you a percentage. This sum represents your general well-being. The overall figure is not super important but can be helpful as time goes on to gauge your improvement, as well as reinforcing the Skew collective as a team effort. You might also feel uncertain about this total, your energy disagreeing that it's too high or too low. In this case, it is wise to reevaluate your Skew scores until the percentage accurately mirrors your insides.
Now, by looking over your separate Skew scores, you can immediately deduce two things: which Skew is your Strongest Link and which is your Weakest Link. There might be equal scores involved, which is fine, as long as you have some grasp on what's going well and what's going less-than-well.
Let's begin with your Strongest Link. Whatever that value is, is where you want all the other Skews to reach. In your brain's perception, that number is wholly achievable because there is a Skew that's already achieved it. And as the weeks roll by and the other Skews rise, larger numbers may break that high score, and then you have a new goal for the Skews to reach. Nice and easy.
However, the true magic of the Skew System lies with your Weakest Link. This Skew is pulling your Life Team down, and it needs to be your priority. If there is more than one Skew with that same low score, again, use your emotional guidance system and decipher which feels the ickiest. From there, your objective is simple: by next week's session, you must aim to raise that Skew score by .5. That is a small ask! Just half a point! Come up with some ideas on how you might achieve that and pursue them over the succeeding seven days. It can be a big thing. It can be a tiny thing. It can be multiple things. It can be legitimately anything. Assist your vibration to slightly progress this topic however you can, and in doing so, ensuring a .5 boost during the subsequent Skew evaluation with an honest conscience.
When your next week rolls into focus, run through the process again. Rate those Skews, work out your percentage, compare with the week before.
Did the Weakest Link advance by .5 or more? If so, then well done! If that Skew remains the Weakest Link despite the increase, it is still the following week's primary target. If there's a new Weakest Link, then shift the week's spotlight onto that dodgy Skew.
The Weakest Link score may have stayed the same or even fallen. Something didn't work there. Try a different approach over the coming week, perhaps using what slipped up as a launching point. Grab that .5 at all costs! But also remember, dedication to the procedure is far more important than rushing the result. If you commit to the course, it is statistically inconceivable that you won't hit that improvement one day, so enjoy the journey! The more you use the Skew System, the better you will get at it, and eventually, the lightbulbs on how to fix these blips will pour into your mind like rain, don't you worry.
There is an additional part of the process that kicks in from week two until forever. You must start writing a short analysis of each change. It can be an essay, or it can be a few words; it doesn't matter. It's about helping the brain flow in a direction that allows the ideas to drift inside. Did a Skew drop? Why? What went wrong during the week? Did a Skew rise? Why? What did you do right? Did your overall percent fluctuate? What do you put that down to? It will only take a minute or so, but this articulation is endlessly beneficial in building the momentum to follow what your Internal Universe is suggesting.
And on and on it goes. Week after week after week, you check up on your life, noting the Skew that needs attention, then taking small steps to nudge it gently upwards. Do not stress if you don't get it working straight away, but even within the first weeks, you should already recognise some major advancements. Your brain will progressively shift to view everyday situations as opportunities to enhance the Skews, and the wheel of self-improvement will pick up drive almost immediately.
That said, the Skew System is not some quick-fix solution. Janthopoyism would warn against any program which promises fast results because nothing reliably works like that. Instead, the Skew System is a practice you should apply to yourself for the rest of your life. The little benefits will come fast, but one day, perhaps after a year or two, you will be knocked back by what has happened. Every aspect of your existence will have improved. And by default, you will now be on your True Path, leaving those mundane human issues in your dust while collaborating with the Universe to create evolution juice that everything can use forever.
And that's it! That's the Skew System. So effortless, right? Of course, I could expand this into a much more intricate body of work as this portion of Janthopoyism deserves a book on its own (a book I shall eventually write!). But at this junction, the above is enough info to install your personal brand of mental machinery.
The succeeding five chapters will break down each Skew the best we can. We can't get too extensive because everyone's mission is individualistic, and we want to be all-inclusive. I could also relay the incredible techniques that have worked for me, but these might not serve you and could risk throwing your direction off. So instead, I pass on the essential bones with the utmost confidence that, upon these next pages, you'll find a way to seize that weekly .5.
The final chapter is a ton of tips and tricks I've picked up along the way. These are super fun and will smooth out your Skew ride. So listen carefully! And once you've done that, come back to this very chapter and get your Skew on.
And when I say this, I mean it with all sincerity. If you follow this Jantho instruction, your life will grow into something so much better. Even now, just by reading this text, your brain recognises the Skew method to be logically valid. Like keeping a guitar in tune or regularly changing your car's oil, it's quite literally impossible not to function on a higher plane using this approach.
And soon enough, you will not be able to live without it.
