Pencil: The Eraser/Past (Is Stupid)
Book 6: The Internal Worship | Chapter 6.2 | 26 May 2021
When it comes to your past, the only question you have to ask yourself is "Do I have a time machine?" If your answer is "no", then the past is fixed and utterly useless to you.
The past endures exclusively within the mind. Predefined tissue ridges and connected neurons can play back these tapes, but the moments no longer exist on your current plane. Moreover, these memories are unreliable; no two minds recall the exact situation identically, and a simple knock on the head can wipe the hard drive clean.
Dare to delve deeper? How certain are you that your memories are genuine? You have zero proof that some external force hasn't planted them there via hypnosis or perhaps as an elaborate simulation built just for you. Again, Janthopoyism remains neutral to entertain every hypothesis.
Many people get stuck in their former days, persistently looping through cerebral litter that drums up a potent emotional association. Of all the methods to betray your Internal Universe, this mental hindrance is the most criminal. For what is more contradictory to evolution than facing backwards?
However, we recognise that letting go of the past isn't easy for everyone. Incidents have moulded our personalities for better or worse, haunting our immediate psyche wherever we look. And until your brain can accept previous traumas as mere electrical currents zapping between dodgy grooves, it will be a challenge to train the mind to pick the needle up and drop it somewhere else. If this is an issue for your well-being, we are only willing to suggest that you do whatever it takes to sort that out. Pursue anything that resonates with your energy as a healthy, permanent solution, be it therapy, meditation, exercise, or the like. Running the Skew System will do a lot of the work for you. Unfortunately, that's where Janthopoyism stops on the matter. The past plays less than a minuscule function in our teaching, and considering the ample number of publications on the topic we feel no desire to get involved. If you need to deal with something in your history, that's a part of your process that requires pursuits independent of Janthopoyism's range.
Various philosophies revolve around the concept of past lives. Janthopoyism would never claim these theories as 100% untrue but would appreciate it if other schoolings did not claim them as 100% true either. From our awareness, these entirely unprovable notions of recollected info from reincarnated earthly cycles are improbable due to the Universe's infinite space to reuse energy. And while there's no harm in dancing within this realm of thought, the immovable belief in past lives (or anything!) is unlikely to serve your Internal Energy. Your ego clings to identification, and your mind presents material that it has convinced itself as accurate. To trust such psychological imagery is a dangerous game with no end. If it is too late and your convictions have trapped you in this "past lives" speculation, then at least evaluate how this is helping you right now. Remember that we want to move forward! So, if you are focusing most of your neuro-energy so far into your past that it predates your life itself, then you risk overlooking what Janthopoyism is gifting you.
Individuals frequently argue that the past is beneficial for learning experiences. Janthopoyism teaches that this is not necessary. For all of its craziness, your brain has plenty of valuable functions, one of which is saving memories for later recall. When a crossroad arrives that demands earlier information, the brain retrieves it by the duty of its job. But stewing in past pictures without immediate benefit can block out opportunities for progression, particularly if these recollections are upsetting.
That said, some past-associated practices do coincide with Janthopoyism's insights. One example is journaling. Whenever something provokes strange energy, get into the habit of writing down an emotionless solution-based analysis about what you can do to improve subsequent rounds. The idea is not to document your woes in a Dear Diary fashion but to assist your memory in recording the data correctly. In doing so, you play a conscious role in carving out the thought's power, preempting when your prearranged neurological pathways next call upon it. In your own words, you have neatly organised the brain documentation whilst concurrently training your Gatekeeper to recognise repeated actions coming a mile away. This preparation is hugely advantageous compared to what most people do: scrambling together shreds of flashbacks during moments of blinding emotions. No reliable solutions can come of that!
There are additional treasures in using the past to gauge personal progress. Janthopoyism believes that everyone's path is incomprehensibly different; hence it is futile to compare oneself to anyone else. You will reach warped results, as the Universe constructs unique staircases for each unique perspective. Utilise others as inspiration, sure, but only evaluate your present situation against your preceding positions. Exclusively seek to advance yourself by improving on your former self! The Skew System provides numerical values for life, and this can be a helpful method of measuring yourself in opposition to yourself. It allows us to detach from any specifics and instead assess how far we have progressed or where we may have slipped. If your numbers are rising, good! Keep doing that. If they're regressing, then it's time to adjust. But short of a brief observation concerning emotional changes, it would be best if you spend very little of your day dissecting past details. Look at where you are going, not where you have come from.
Finally, recalling memories that produce delight is highly recommended! Anything that sparks positivity is profitable and the point of Janthopoyism in the first place. Nurture reflections of gratitude as they blossom into your future. If a past picture pops up that vibrates with positive energy, hold it there and enjoy!
Reading the above paragraphs, we note examples where Janthopoyism appreciates the past. But these are so minimal that one can disregard them if they complicate your circumstances in any trend. Are you a person whose history consumes a large portion of your energetic resource (especially from a negative viewpoint)? Then it's advisable to cut these thoughts off completely and trail better-lubricated paths however you manage to do so.
The present and future are the Jantho domain. When you've cultivated a present that you love and your future looks promising, you can cheerfully acknowledge your past as the stepping stones leading to here. If the worst things didn't happen to you, perhaps you'd be in a far more detrimental position. Meanwhile, getting upset about these bygone events makes as much sense as getting upset about the weather. You have no control until you give up trying to gain control. What's done is done. There's nothing you can do except accept it and move on.
That is why we refer to it as The Eraser.
If you can get rid of the past's real estate in your forward motion plans, you've already conquered this first segment of the Pencil Program with a 100% scorecard.
Janthopoyism is a spiritual philosophy meets self-improvement program.
We view the Absolute collection of all Universal Energy to be the highest power. You are part of that power. You are an extension of divinity.
The ultimate purpose of this power is to evolve, and we each have a unique part to play in this progression. The details of your role are relayed to you every moment of your life via emotional notifications.
The tricky bit is that human beings have developed a communication barrier between themselves and this instruction.
This barrier is called "the brain".
But never fear! By utilising some very simple practices, you can open the flow of exchange, granting you access to the ether of infinite ideas, the infallible path of your guided destiny, and the recollection of your holiness.
Which is basically a wanky way of saying that your life is about to get a whole bunch better.
Join the movement before it becomes too mainstream.
