Knowing When to Shut the Hell Up

Book 4: The Bridge of Offerings | Chapter 4.1 | 27 January 2021

As soon as you say a word or perform any action, it is no longer yours. A motion has been sent from your person, which may develop into nothing, or may spin around to attack you. Either way, it has left your Internal Universe's ownership, entering the realm of the External Universe. And the External Universe will do what it pleases. You're just going to have to deal with it, buddy!

Janthopoyism talks of symbolic "bridges", where information-traffic goes in and out between your Internal Universe and the External Universe. The Greek philosophy Stoicism agrees with our teachings of these dual Universes. You do not control what happens to you in life, but you can control how you respond. This foundational chapter is about accepting a moment without immediately reacting, and in doing so, preventing a big fat mess.

As discussed in Book 3, nothing invites stimuli into your experience faster than fixating on them. If you are not aware of something's existence, you most likely won't notice it. Meanwhile, the material you've fine-tuned yourself to will leap out from every corner. Many of us are familiar with those Law of Attraction secrets, which proposes that shouting "no!" at anything does not cause it to go away. Rather, it aggravates this circumstance into our perception louder than before. Janthopoyism agrees. You are training your brain to register this issue as much as possible. You are feeding it. Whereas if you were concentrating in a different direction (or better, the polar opposite/solution to your problem), the initial trouble would shrink out of focus until it vanished.

"Everything in Life is Vibration," said Albert Einstein. Thoughts are vibrations that reverberate at increasing volumes. But adverse thoughts are easy to conquer with simple exercises, gradually shifting your attention until the rubbish gets smaller. It takes practice to condition the Gatekeeper (reticular activating system) to obey your authority, but we shall be providing many examples of how to do so as we continue. For now, appreciate negative vibrational thoughts, for they are still technically yours. Sure, they can pull your consciousness towards unwanted physical realities or spiral into mental agony, but they remain part of your Internal Universe. However, if you release them across your Bridge of Offerings, you have relinquished command completely. Whether a complaint or attack or even a positive expression, the result is now at the mercy of the External Universe. And you will attract a cosmic reaction fast.

One of the strangest conditions of human behaviour is how desperate we are to prove ourselves correct, even to strangers, even if we can't see their faces. We will expend so much energy and waste so much time to pursue this, causing great tension through our days just to convince someone of something. What makes their sole brain worthy of your suffering? Would it not be more beneficial to use that same amount of energy to reach a larger audience? Or, greatest idea ever, dedicating that energy to a task that brings you love and peace?

For even if we manage to persuade another brain that our brain is correct, we've still traded an unreturnable portion of our lives for a singular human. Only several billion to go! It makes no measurable difference nor any sense whatsoever. It means nothing. And, more importantly, what makes you think your brain is correct in the first place? Did your brain tell you this? Notice where the ego is, notice where the spirit is, and reevaluate your intentions.

Nevertheless, swaying someone to change their mind is still an unlikely outcome. Far more plausible is that an argument will ensue. Two people with opposing views will attempt to convince each other of their correctness. And so you're shouting "no!" and they're shouting "no!" and you are both concentrating on the thing you do not want. This behaviour is akin to screaming at the Universal Energy to bring as much as that opposing opinion as possible. Your Gatekeeper observes you focusing on this and will do its best to find some more for you. Yes, your self-pride desperately wants this person to know it's right, but you do not need to! You are part of the same cosmic system! One that relies on the difference of opinion to learn and evolve!

Feeling offended or defensive are the most glaringly obvious signs of someone out of touch with who they are. Getting upset shows that you've lost control of the situation. As Book 3 told, those comfortable with their stances will find amusement in attacks on their beliefs. One could never offend a truly spiritual individual. If someone told you that the sky was green or that your name was Fluffy Briefcase, how much time would you spend defending your contending stance? If a child initiates an argument about a topic you're well-versed in, would you shout at them in anger? The pool of spirituality has "elders" and "children" alike, irrespective of their earthly age. Confidence in your position will never require validation. Recoiling into a protective mode is a vibrational mismatch to your True Path. What's worse is that resistance breeds resistance like a tennis match. Defence serves offence serving more defensive serving more offensive, ad nauseam.

Now, you could argue, is this not what Janthopoyism is all about? Here is conflict in action! The very essence of evolution! Should we not encourage such arguments for the greater good of progression? And the answer, like all Jantho answers, comes in dual. Indeed, the evolution of the Universal Energy benefits from this conflict. Dude, the Universal Energy benefits from anything as long as there is momentum! And there is always momentum. But the evolution of your Internal Universe sticks in a stale place, or worse, falls away from your True Path, causing considerable discomfort to your being. Hence, never concern yourself with conflict, for the Cosmos will serve it to you by order. Centre yourself with harmony because that feels better inside.

Trying to get people to understand your viewpoint is the opposite of what you should be doing. You are merely spouting information that exists in your cerebral grooves based on previous experiences that have zero idea of other people's experiences. You do not learn anything from this process. You do not grow. Preferably, you can spend your energy trying to understand another individual's perspective even when they are on routes you deem incorrect. Every path is valid in its own way; we all contribute to the same collective. Listen more by opening your Bridge of Receivings. Speak less by closing your Bridge of Offerings. Take new information in but don't feel the need to put information out. The more you receive, the more you learn, the higher you will evolve, and the riper your mind will be to obtain ideas from the Universal Energy. If you can't do that, then simply turn and walk towards a more joyous place.

Your first call of order is to notice when your energy is bubbling up into strong negative emotions. Do not fight it because this reaction is normal. Congratulations, you are human. But as soon as you allow it to blast out in some undesirable response, the Universe now owns it, and that includes your immediate company. The consequences are out of your reach; you gave up the power.

So how about you try pausing with it instead? Hug it with amusement. It will take discipline, but not a lot of discipline, and soon enough, the awareness will come before your response. And when you can catch the rise in the act, it's as easy as ceasing everything immediately. Remember Accessing The Universal Mind? The best solution lies there, and it's nowhere near your brain. Seek the better thought that generates the better emotion that generates the better thought that generates the better emotion. And when it comes time to respond, ask questions instead. And when it comes time to make your statement, your goal is to respond once in such a way that everyone is satisfied to leave it as such. If you speak something strong enough, others will defend it for you, and you can refocus on your mission. Or, an even better result, decide not to react whatsoever. Let it go. Laugh it off. The entire Chinese philosophy of Taoism is based on this method of inaction alone, and much of Book 6's middle section will cover this ground in deeper detail.

View life like a test. Locate what makes you happy and pursue it. Accept that things will come to distract you that are not part of your plan. Be amused by this occurrence which takes place by universal design, then act accordingly. Can you turn your attention away, back to your primary meaning? Then do so. Or does this interruption require your attention for you to move forward? Then fix it from a rational place of calm, looking for the quickest route to remove the obstacle. Do not nurture it. Do not encourage it. Pat it on its head and go.

Finally, we must address the inevitable accusations of suppression. We are not teaching avoidance here. We are teaching delegation. Recognise and be grateful when something upsets your calm. It reveals a weakness within yourself, highlighting a point of concern that requires your consideration. If an incident or a being manages to get a rise from you, this is the perfect moment to practice doing nothing! Take note of that heightening of emotion, but instead of bestowing your heard-earned energy and time onto this moment, aim and shoot that same vigour towards an undertaking that can benefit your path and the path of others.

This approach will contribute to the evolution of both the External Universe and Internal Universe while blessing your Gatekeeper with superpowers. All of which we shall cover at great length over the next chapter.

Janthopoyism is a spiritual philosophy meets self-improvement program.
We view the Absolute collection of all Universal Energy to be the highest power. You are part of that power. You are an extension of divinity.
The ultimate purpose of this power is to evolve, and we each have a unique part to play in this progression. The details of your role are relayed to you every moment of your life via emotional notifications.

The tricky bit is that human beings have developed a communication barrier between themselves and this instruction.
This barrier is called "the brain".
But never fear! By utilising some very simple practices, you can open the flow of exchange, granting you access to the ether of infinite ideas, the infallible path of your guided destiny, and the recollection of your holiness.

Which is basically a wanky way of saying that your life is about to get a whole bunch better.

Join the movement before it becomes too mainstream.
