Sacred Travel: Coptic Cairo

#holythrowback to 2021 when I visited Coptic Cairo in Cairo, Egypt.
Egypt is criminally overlooked as one of the holiest lands on our planet. Not only was their ancient religion rich with many gods and rituals, but they also played a significant role throughout Abrahamic history.
Coptic Cairo is a part of Old Cairo, one of the handful of locations in the country where Christianity holds firm. This persistent faith is due to Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus spending time here while fleeing King Herod. The 19BC Babylon Fortress (photo 2) is where Joseph worked while in exile, and the Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church (photo 3) was built on the spot the Holy Family rested.
Other notable Christian places include The Church of St. George (photos 4 & 5) and one of the oldest churches in Egypt, the 3rd-century Hanging Church (photos 6 & 7).
This area has Jewish roots too, as they built the Ben EzraS ynagogue on the apparent ground where baby Moses was found. Unfortunately, it was closed during my visit, but I managed to sneak onto someone’s roof and snap photo 8 from a distance.
Egypt is now a Muslim nation, with 90.64% of the population following Islam. Christianity almost takes the rest, with 9.26%. But due to this intricate history, it’s not uncommon to find iconography from major world religions and ancient religions sold right next to each other (photo 9).
Photo 1 is my favourite selfie. Here I am (founder of Janthopoyism), wearing a Ganesh shirt (Hindu deity, extending to Buddhism) with a pentagram tattoo on my arm (many religious references but symbolising Satanism in this context), standing outside the Ben Ezra Synagogue where Moses was found (most important prophet in Judaism), situated in Coptic Cairo (a Christian district), in the city of Cairo itself (a Muslim region). I doubt I will top that.

Currently, the best manner in which to support and contact us is through Instagram.

We truly have built a wonderful community with new content posted every day, so it is recommend you join us via that platform.
Janthopoyism is a spiritual philosophy meets self-improvement program.
We view the Absolute collection of all Universal Energy to be the highest power. You are part of that power. You are an extension of divinity.
The ultimate purpose of this power is to evolve, and we each have a unique part to play in this progression. The details of your role are relayed to you every moment of your life via emotional notifications.

The tricky bit is that human beings have developed a communication barrier between themselves and this instruction.
This barrier is called "the brain".
But never fear! By utilising some very simple practices, you can open the flow of exchange, granting you access to the ether of infinite ideas, the infallible path of your guided destiny, and the recollection of your holiness.

Which is basically a wanky way of saying that your life is about to get a whole bunch better.

Join the movement before it becomes too mainstream.
