#holythrowback to 2019 when I visited The Siddh Hanuman Mandir in New Delhi, India.
Constructed during the 16th century by a prince named Maharaja Man Singh of Amber, he dedicated this temple to the Hindu deity Hanuman. To ensure there wasn’t any confusion, they built a 108 ft statue of the god, placing it in the top five tallest Hanumans on the planet (all of which naturally reside in India).
Hanuman is about wisdom, courage, and self-discipline, but he is most famous for his monkey face. The important Hindu epic poem Ramayana predominately features Hanuman, fighting as an ally for Lord Rama and helping to defeat Ravana, the evil Raksha demon. Hence, you enter this holy establishment through the open mouth of the conquered monster (photo 3), thanking Hanuman for making this safe venture possible. It is also free to do so!
Numerous other freeze-framed tales from Hindu mythology exist within the temple, but my favourite is undoubtedly Chhinnamasta (photo 4). She is the Tantric Goddess of contradictions and self-sacrifice, best recognised by her head that she’s severed herself. Her attendants surround her to drink her blood spurts, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
If India is not one of the holiest countries in the world, then it is the holiest, meaning our posts from the region are far from over. 80% of India is Hindu, so expect more of that.

Janthopoyism is a spiritual philosophy meets self-improvement program.
We view the Absolute collection of all Universal Energy to be the highest power. You are part of that power. You are an extension of divinity.
The ultimate purpose of this power is to evolve, and we each have a unique part to play in this progression. The details of your role are relayed to you every moment of your life via emotional notifications.
The tricky bit is that human beings have developed a communication barrier between themselves and this instruction.
This barrier is called "the brain".
But never fear! By utilising some very simple practices, you can open the flow of exchange, granting you access to the ether of infinite ideas, the infallible path of your guided destiny, and the recollection of your holiness.
Which is basically a wanky way of saying that your life is about to get a whole bunch better.
Join the movement before it becomes too mainstream.
