Sacred Travel: Janthopoyism House
#holythrowback to last week, the final time I stood by the home most central to the Janthopoyism teachings, in Reading, England, UK.
Whilst travelling around South America in early-2020, Janthopoyism cracked in my mind like an egg. As I made my way up to the States, I posted several snippets about the philosophy but was interrupted when I hit New York City, and COVID hit back.
The planet collapsed, and my two Reading friends, Jon and Jon, urged me to fly over and crash with them in the UK. I eagerly agreed and stayed for five months, turning the lockdown into a blessing, writing most of the Janthopoyism Bible. This house is where the scripture was organised and documented.
Hence, when the moment arrived to print and ship the first batch of Bibles, there could be no better-suited place. I returned to these walls in 2022 and mailed out every limited Black Edition from here. If you have a copy, it passed through my hands within this environment.
Sadly, last week, the Jons moved to another residence. I came back to assist the relocation process, grateful I got to say goodbye to the holy location. We got out just in time too, as the building was definitely rejecting us. My room’s ceiling started leaking, doors were locking themselves, windows jammed, and the toilet broke.
Regardless, if Janthopoyism ever becomes a world religion, this house is solidified as a top pilgrimage site to the faith. This photo set includes my regular running track along the Thames, where most of the Janthopoyism Bible was mentally composed.
