Sacred Travel: Confucius Statue

#holythrowback to 2022 when I visited the Confucius Statue in Brisbane, Australia.
Erected in the scenic South Bank Parklands stretch, this sculpture of Confucius was donated by the Ji’nan Municipal Government in the Shandong Province, China. As a celebration of Queensland’s 150th birthday, it was a mark of mutual respect between these two very different nations.
The inscription reads, “Confucius (Qiu Zhong Ni) was a great thinker, philosopher, educator and founder of the Confucianism of Chinese thought and also a famous man of world culture”.
Confucianism is a strange religion, if you can even refer to it as such. The Chinese are reluctant to do so and are more likely to consider it as a tradition, philosophy, theory of government, and way of life. Hardly anyone in the world calls themselves exclusively Confucian and instead combines it with other beliefs, such as Daoism, Buddhism, and other traditional faiths. However, the West tend to recognise it as a system of worship.
Regardless, Confucianism does not register on Australia’s religious surveys. Instead, Christianity reigns strongest with 43.9%, while the ever-increasing “No Religion” comes in second with 38.9%.

Janthopoyism is a spiritual philosophy meets self-improvement program.
We view the Absolute collection of all Universal Energy to be the highest power. You are part of that power. You are an extension of divinity.
The ultimate purpose of this power is to evolve, and we each have a unique part to play in this progression. The details of your role are relayed to you every moment of your life via emotional notifications.

The tricky bit is that human beings have developed a communication barrier between themselves and this instruction.
This barrier is called "the brain".
But never fear! By utilising some very simple practices, you can open the flow of exchange, granting you access to the ether of infinite ideas, the infallible path of your guided destiny, and the recollection of your holiness.

Which is basically a wanky way of saying that your life is about to get a whole bunch better.

Join the movement before it becomes too mainstream.
