#holythrowback to 2023 when I visited St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Sydney, Australia.
Founded in 1837 and consecrated in 1868, St. Andrew’s is the oldest cathedral in Australia. It sure is a beauty, even though Australian cultural preservationist Joan Kerr once described it as “a perfect example of the colonial desire to reproduce England in Australia”.
There is a fair amount of photo-worthy items inside, but my favourite feature is the altar where statues of notable Biblical figures stand. Curiously, on the very left, we find Moses with two distinct horns protruding from his skull. This is due to the word “shining” being mistranslated as “horned” in the Latin Vulgate Bible, Exodus 34. It read, “And when Moses came down from Mount Sinai, he held the two tablets of the testimony, and he knew not that his face was horned from the conversation of the Lord.” Michelangelo’s famous sculpture in the Basilica of St. Peter in Chains, in Rome, met the same fate.
Keep looking around, and you’ll find William Broughton’s tomb, the first (and only) Bishop of Australia. Not far off is a copy of the first authorised edition of the Bible translated into English. Known as the Great Bible of 1539, there are only 2,500 copies in the world.
When exploring the city of Sydney, St. Andrew’s Cathedral is a great place to frequently visit, because it offers free access to toilets, which is sometimes the only miracle we need.

Janthopoyism is a spiritual philosophy meets self-improvement program.
We view the Absolute collection of all Universal Energy to be the highest power. You are part of that power. You are an extension of divinity.
The ultimate purpose of this power is to evolve, and we each have a unique part to play in this progression. The details of your role are relayed to you every moment of your life via emotional notifications.
The tricky bit is that human beings have developed a communication barrier between themselves and this instruction.
This barrier is called "the brain".
But never fear! By utilising some very simple practices, you can open the flow of exchange, granting you access to the ether of infinite ideas, the infallible path of your guided destiny, and the recollection of your holiness.
Which is basically a wanky way of saying that your life is about to get a whole bunch better.
