Sacred Travel: Christ the Redeemer

#holythrowback to 2020 when I visited Christ the Redeemer (and Sugarloaf Mountain) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
There are iconic holy locations. Then, there are the most recognisable spiritual landmarks on the planet. This statue is undoubtedly part of the latter handful of religious spots everyone everywhere knows.
Standing at 98 feet and weighing in at 635 metric tons, this dude proudly towers over Rio as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Why they blessed it with such an honour is strange to me, as it’s not even a decade old! Regardless, what a thrill to gaze upon this guy with my own eyes. Jesus, hey. What a legend. Biggest celebrity ever. I am a big fan. They say he loves me too, which, omg, impossible, shut up! Do you think so, though?
French sculptor Paul Landowski created it. Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa built it. Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida finished on the face. And while we could never picture it any differently, the original plans called for Christ to hold the globe in one hand and a cross in the other. It sounds cool.
Across the city, you’ll find Sugarloaf Mountain, which I’ve included here (photos 4 to 9). It is recognised as a World Heritage Site due to its distinct shape and panoramic views, which were the best I’ve seen anywhere. What a city. Genuinely one of the absolute greatest.
Can you guess which religion dominates Brazil? Yes, it’s Christianity. How did you know? 88.77% of the country bows to Jesus (64.63% Roman Catholic). Way more interesting, however, is the 3% dedicated to Spiritism, the new religious movement focused on existence after death. As a French belief system, it’s super exciting that Spiritism has more followers in Brazil than anywhere else.

Currently, the best manner in which to support and contact us is through Instagram.

We truly have built a wonderful community with new content posted every day, so it is recommend you join us via that platform.
Janthopoyism is a spiritual philosophy meets self-improvement program.
We view the Absolute collection of all Universal Energy to be the highest power. You are part of that power. You are an extension of divinity.
The ultimate purpose of this power is to evolve, and we each have a unique part to play in this progression. The details of your role are relayed to you every moment of your life via emotional notifications.

The tricky bit is that human beings have developed a communication barrier between themselves and this instruction.
This barrier is called "the brain".
But never fear! By utilising some very simple practices, you can open the flow of exchange, granting you access to the ether of infinite ideas, the infallible path of your guided destiny, and the recollection of your holiness.

Which is basically a wanky way of saying that your life is about to get a whole bunch better.

Join the movement before it becomes too mainstream.
