Sacred Travel: Machu Picchu

#holythrowback to New Year 2019, when I visited Machu Picchu in Peru.
This location is globally recognised as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, and while the widest of lenses could never capture what we witnessed, the memory is hugged deep into my spirit.
Built around 1450 and abandoned in 1572, nobody knows what this Inca citadel was meant for due to the civilisation’s lack of written language. Furthermore, those pesky European invaders weren’t aware of its existence until the 19th century, so by the time they discovered the land, it was covered in vegetation and virtually invisible. Fast forward to modern times, and it is Peru’s most popular attraction, with almost 1.5 million tourists marching through yearly (although it is currently closed because of the Peruvian protests).
The Inca Empire held strong mythological beliefs, which included an extensive amalgamation of other cultural deities and conducting questionable practices such as child sacrifice. The Incan people thought it was an honour to die as an offering, so who are we to say? Well, Spain actually had a lot to say, invading Peru in 1532 and completely conquering the Incas in 1572, forcing the society to learn Spanish (still their official language) and worship Jesus Christ (94.5% Christianity stronghold remains). Sad loss of culture, but much fewer baby murders, so...
Not to sound dramatic, but I changed as a person during my South America exploration. Maybe it was the thin oxygen (Machu Picchu sits 2,430 meters above sea level, peeps fainting everywhere), but I connected to a seedling of spirituality here which blossomed into Janthopoyism as the clocks struck 2020. A few months later, the planet caught COVID and fell over, giving me lots of space to write the Janthopoyism Bible we love today. So I owe this region a ton.

Currently, the best manner in which to support and contact us is through Instagram.

We truly have built a wonderful community with new content posted every day, so it is recommend you join us via that platform.
Janthopoyism is a spiritual philosophy meets self-improvement program.
We view the Absolute collection of all Universal Energy to be the highest power. You are part of that power. You are an extension of divinity.
The ultimate purpose of this power is to evolve, and we each have a unique part to play in this progression. The details of your role are relayed to you every moment of your life via emotional notifications.

The tricky bit is that human beings have developed a communication barrier between themselves and this instruction.
This barrier is called "the brain".
But never fear! By utilising some very simple practices, you can open the flow of exchange, granting you access to the ether of infinite ideas, the infallible path of your guided destiny, and the recollection of your holiness.

Which is basically a wanky way of saying that your life is about to get a whole bunch better.

Join the movement before it becomes too mainstream.
